Africa World Airlines Ltd. (AWA) now operates from the newly commissioned Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The move, which took place yesterday Thursday September 1, 2022 came after the airline got a nod from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), making the Ghanaian airline the second carrier to operate from the said terminal – the first being Air Peace which commenced operations there in April, 2022.

According to sources, the Managing Director of FAAN, Capt. AWA, which has its head office in Accra – Ghana, was incorporated in 2010 and began operations in 2012. Its main hub is Kotoka International Airport, Accra and the airline is considered the largest in Ghana, with over 600,000 passengers booked in 2021.
