Arik Air has announced the resumption of flight operations from Lagos to Asaba, Delta State’s capital, effective October 17, 2024. This move follows the carrier’s recent reintroduction of flights from Abuja to Benin and Abuja to Port Harcourt which took place on October 4 and October 10, 2024 respectively.
According to the airline, Lagos – Asaba flights will operate four times weekly from Domestic Terminal 1 (GAT) of the Murtala Muhammed Airport – Lagos, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Daily flights will connect Abuja to Port Harcourt, while Abuja-Benin flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Arik Air’s CEO, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, stated: “We are happy to extend our services once again to the good people of Asaba and surrounding areas who have been eagerly awaiting our return. We promise to uphold the high operational standards that our airline is known for”, he assured.
The carrier has also adjusted its flight frequencies on other routes, increasing the number of flights from Lagos to Benin and Lagos to Warri to daily services. This development, the airline notes, is part of its efforts to reconnect key domestic routes that were previously suspended due to operational reasons.
The resumption of flights to Asaba and the reintroduction of Abuja routes aim to provide more travel options for passengers and boost connectivity within Nigeria.
These changes are expected to take effect immediately and as scheduled. Passengers are advised to check with the airline for further information and updates.
