The Chairman of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, has received a Honourary Fellowship Award by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). The award was conferred on him at the institute’s 60th Anniversary Fellowship Investiture in Victoria Island, Lagos, on October 21, 2023.
The award is in recognition of Dr. Onyema’s invaluable contributions to the Institute, the banking industry and the economy at large as the CEO of Air Peace.
The Board of Fellows and Practice Licence of the Institute also stated that the honour was in acknowledgement of his peace advocacy, constant promotion of broad nationalism and his several evacuation flights.
Receiving the award, Dr. Onyema thanked the Institute for the honour and pledged his continued support and using his commercial entities to positively impact the Nigerian economy. He further applauded the Institute for ensuring high professionalism in the banking profession.
It would be recalled that Barr. Allen Onyema was recently honoured with a Doctorate Degree by the Nigerian Defence Academy for his outstanding service to the nation and humanity in general.
