Africa World Airlines celebrated 11 years of successful operations across its various destinations on September 21, 2023.
As part of the anniversary celebration, which was themed on awarding passengers for their loyalty, the airline organized a ‘lucky dip’ at the departure halls across its operated destinations in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Lagos and Abuja.
The lucky dip was to reward passengers with 11 free return tickets across its network to appreciate their loyalty since the company started it operations.
Head of Commercial, Mr. Jonathan Appiah said, this year’s anniversary is to give back to the passengers to honor their loyalty and commitment to A.W.A as it grows to serve them well.
Some of the passengers who won the free ticket lucky dip include Mr. Adjei Emmanuel Abrah on the Accra – Lagos route; Mr. Muhammed-Shittu Abdul-Rahman Balogun on the Lagos – Accra route; and Mr. Idris Mamman on the Abuja – Accra route among others.
Speaking on the regional expansion, Mr. Appiah disclosed that, ‘there are plans to acquire E-190 aircraft for next year. This is to help in bringing the company’s mission which is to connect Africa to the world through the most efficient, safe and reliable air transport service.’
He added that, there are plans of operating to Dakar, Banjul, Cotonou, Conakry and Port Harcourt as well as to resume their suspended operations to Abidjan, Freetown and Monrovia.
