RwandAir, one of Africa’s fastest-growing airlines, has announced a significant capacity increase with daily flights to Lagos starting in October 2024. The announcement was made at a Sales Forum in Lagos, attended by over 100 travel agencies.

The airline’s Regional Manager, Dennis Rwiliriza, stated, “We currently operate five times weekly into Lagos and three times weekly to Abuja from our hub in Kigali. We are responding to customer needs by adding two more flights to Lagos, providing greater choice and flexibility with seamless daily connections to over 25 destinations in our network.”

The carrier’s Sales Manager, Oladayo Abolaji, highlighted RwandAir’s codeshare partnerships with Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and Turkish Airlines, covering 74 destinations, with more to be added by year-end.

This capacity increase demonstrates RwandAir’s commitment to the Nigerian market, providing travelers with more convenient options and connections to Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

During the interactive forum, agents participated in a quiz, winning prizes, including aircraft models, tickets, and shopping vouchers.

RwandAir operates a modern fleet of 14 aircraft, offering premium services, including a state-of-the-art Business Class and comfortable Economy Class. Its expansion is expected to boost tourism and economic ties between Nigeria and Rwanda, facilitated by the East African nation offering visa-free entry to African Union, Francophone, and Commonwealth citizens.

The Sales Forum was an opportunity for the airline to provide valuable insights and product knowledge to its guests, strengthening partnerships between RwandAir and Nigerian travel agencies.
