The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) has solidified its commitment to international cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority.
The agreement, which aims at enhancing human capacity building in the South Sudanese aviation industry, came during a visit to NCAT by a delegation led by Hon. John Woja Eliana, Director-General of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, during which the team was impressed by the college’s infrastructure, training programs and instructional staff.
NCAT’s Rector, Dr. Danjuma A. Ismaila, expressed readiness to provide technical and managerial training to meet South Sudan’s aviation industry needs. He highlighted that NCAT’s training programs would equip South Sudanese professionals with the necessary competencies to launch and grow their civil aviation sector.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two parties outlines plans for both long-term and short-term training programs in Nigeria, with provisions for specific training sessions to be conducted in Juba, South Sudan’s capital.
Both parties have expressed satisfaction with the agreement, paving the way for enhanced collaboration and capacity building in the South Sudanese aviation industry.
