Gulfstream: Vicki Britt, New Senior VP Innovation, Engineering and Flight – By Daisy BARRO

Vicki Britt, Senior Vice President, Innovation, Engineering, Flight - Gulfstream.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has a newly appointed Senior Vice President (VP) of Innovation, Engineering and Flight in the person of Vicki Britt. The news was announced recently after her predecessor; Colin Miller announced his retirement. He had been working in Gulfstream for eight years.

In her new role, Britt is responsible for research and development; flight, lab and structural test; Gulfstream operations worldwide; new aircraft program initiation; engineering and program development.

“During her tenure at Gulfstream, Vicki was an invaluable technical leader, team leader and mentor. Her breadth of experience over an impressive range of aerospace engineering has prepared her well to lead Gulfstream’s innovation strategy and implementation”, said Burns, a representative of Gulfstream.

Her career kicked off in Hampton – Virginia, at NASA’s Langley Research Centre. Britt who joined Gulfstream in 1996 has over 30 years’ aerospace industry experience under her belt. Over the years, she has served in a variety of roles in departments such as new product development, airframe engineering; and as staff scientist, chief engineer and program manager of Gulfstream special missions.

Vicki Britt holds a doctorate in aerospace engineering from Old Dominion University. She also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from North Carolina State University.
