One of Nigeria’s preeminent Travel Management Companies (TMC), Finchglow Travels – a subsidiary of Finchglow Holdings, is proud to celebrate sixteen (16) years in business.
The Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Finchglow Travels, Mr. Bankole Bernard expresses nostalgia as he looks back fondly on the company’s days of humble beginnings:
“Sixteen years ago, we started out as a small travel agency in a plaza at Falomo. Our vision – which is to provide excellent travel services and experiences for our clients – has remained the same. Today, we have expanded from that small office and have become a brand with offices across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and now Kano.”
According to the Finchglow boss, his company’s success can be attributed to his dedicated staff as well as the efficient managerial skills deployed in the company.
Mr. Bankole also used the opportunity of Finchlow’s sixteenth anniversary to call on industry players and aspirants to “pay more attention to professional development, as it remains a major key for growth in the downstream sector of the aviation industry.”
The CEO divulged that he made the call based on his desire to see the knowledge gap in the industry bridged – a desire which he hopes to see continuously materialize through the Finchglow Travels Mentorship Program.
Throwing more light on the Mentorship Program, Mr. Ezekiel Ikotun, General Manager, Sales and Operations at Finchglow Travels said the platform was launched to help cushion new entrants in the travel management business as they find their feet, adding that the organizers are proud to now have in their employ, one of the beneficiaries of the program’s maiden edition.
Commencing operations in June 2016, Finchglow Travels has grown to service important brands in Nigeria and Africa at large, staying buoyant despite the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first edition of its mentorship program was held last year in commemoration of the TMC’s fifteenth anniversary, and it continues to contribute its quota to bridging the knowledge gap between veterans and new entrants in the industry.
