SAHCO Renews Five Years Ground Handling Deal With British Airways – By Mary IRORO

Following due diligence and rigorous audits conducted by its international team for Ground Handling companies in Nigeria, British Airways (BA) has once again found Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCOL) as the best Ground Services Provider and has renewed its Ground Handling Contract with the company for another Five (5) years.

By this renewal, SAHCO will continue to provide Passenger Handling Services, Baggage Handling services, Ramp Handling services, Cargo Handling services and Warehousing to BA both at Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.

SAHCO began the provision of Ground Handling Services to BA in 2020 after a strategic decision by the airline to move all its Ground Handling requirements to the Ground Services Provider after 40 years of operating into Nigeria. This decision was due to the unrivalled services that SAHCO Provides.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Basil Agboarumi, MD/CEO of SAHCO, said the company remains committed and will continuously deliver quality and improved ground handling services through its well trained staff at all of SAHCO’S stations.”

“The company boasts of a professional team that is versed in the best of Departure Control systems in the Aviation industry for Passenger Check-in and Boarding, also for Load control systems. In the event of tracking lost or delayed baggage, SAHCO has a team that is skilled in World Tracer and Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS),” the MD explained.

SAHCO is an RA3 and IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certified company, which makes the company a preferred gateway to import and export to European countries and the world at large. It is also an International Standard Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001-2015) Certified Company and a member of the Airport Services Association (ASA).
