The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has approved the appointment of certain personnel in government parastatals in the aviation industry such as the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB); the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET); the Federal Airports Authority (FAAN); the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA); the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
According to a circular signed for the Minister by the Director Human Resources Management, S.D Muhammad, all handing-over is expected to have been carried out before the close of business on Friday January 21, 2022, and personnel who have been assigned new duties at the Minister’s office shall continue to draw their salaries and other entitlements from their agencies of deployment.
The various appointments and redeployments are as follows:
- AIB: Capt Dayyabu Danraka’s appointment as Director of Operations has been confirmed; Mohammed Wali, Director of Engineering; Salisu Auwal, Director of Human Resources; Kakangi Aliyu, Legal Adviser.
- NiMET: Mohammed Daku remains the Director of Human Resources; Charles Anosike was appointed Director AMS; Abdul Ahmed, Director, Legal; Saad Bashie, Director, Engineering and Technical Services; Abba Mailabi Yusuf, Director, Weather Forecasting Services; Effiom Essien Oku, Director, Research and Training; Hamza Sani Hamza, Director, Finance and Accounts.
- FAAN: Ali Maina was appointed Director of Engineering; Gold Iwinose is replacing Clifford Imade Omozeghiano as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.
- NCAA: Mr. Chris Najomo has been appointed Director of Air Transport Regulation; Adamu Wakili, Director of Human Resources Management; Mr. Ajiboye Isiaka, Director of Airworthiness Standards; Bahagio Agio, Director, Licensing and Training Standards.
- NAMA: Musa Mai – Salihu Director, Human Resources Management; Hauwa Usara has been appointed company Secretary.
A total number of seven other officers from across the board have been reappointed as special assistants to the Minister.
