The Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed Engr. Tayib Odunowo as the new Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA). He takes over from Mr. Matthew Pwajok, who has manned the same office for little over a year now in the position of Acting Managing Director.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Odunowo was the Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The incumbent MD was also the Executive Director of International Operations at JIL Engineering and Oil Services Ltd., Lagos (2010-2017); Senior Consultant at National Aeronautic Space Agency, Maryland, USA (2006-2008), and a flight engineer (Boeing 727) with FED-EX in Washington D.C.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Columbia (1998) and a Diploma in Airframe and Power Plant Technology from the National College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria. He also holds an Airframe and Power Plant License (A/P), a Private Pilot License (P/L) and a Flight Engineer’s License from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), USA.
